Dear Friends of Second City Chamber Series,

We hope you’ve been enjoying a safe and healthy summer in our beautiful Pacific Northwest!

Normally in July and August we would greet you at Lakewold Gardens for our summer evening picnic concerts, but during this global pandemic, your safety and well-being is our first concern.

Accordingly, we have developed a series of short online concerts and behind the scenes interviews entitled “Snapshots” that we hope you enjoy in the comfort of your own home!

Our first performers — all one nuclear family — have all appeared on the Second City Chamber Series before, but never together in the same concert (until now, that is!): the talented Bennett family, comprised of violist Korine Fujiwara, cellist Julian Bennett and pianist Cameron Bennett.

You can read more about the Bennetts HERE and enjoy a conversation from their home and Svend’s in Tacoma. We invite you as well to enjoy their recording of a movement from the op. 114 Brahms Trio in A minor. Specially recorded and performed just for you!

If you haven’t yet, please join (or update) our mailing list for the most up-to-date information about upcoming events and to receive the annual brochure for the next season when it gets sent out. You may do so by clicking HERE.

We look forward to the day when we can once again enjoy chamber music together.
In the meantime, please stay healthy and enjoy the gorgeous summer weather!

Sincerely yours,

Svend Rønning, Artistic Director
Jinshil Yi, Managing Director
Sharon Bourne-Leader, President of the Board of Directors
